About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Exhibits to lead the transformation and enhancement of its interactive experiences. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and visionary leader with a deep passion for science and education, committed to promoting lifelong learning through engaging and impactful visitor experiences. Responsibilities for this role include strategic planning, developing innovative exhibit strategies, and fostering a culture of creativity and continuous improvement. The VP of Exhibits will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, with a strong emphasis on inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility, to ensure that all exhibit initiatives align with the organization's mission and serve its diverse audience. The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of experience in developing and managing exhibits, with a proven track record of leading projects that resonate with target audiences. They should be a confident leader, approachable, and enthusiastic about engaging with both staff and visitors. A strategic thinker, the VP of Exhibits will be expected to lead initiatives that champion IDEA in all exhibit-related activities and promote a workplace culture that values diverse perspectives. Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and operate within budget constraints. The role requires a commitment to continuous learning, and a future-oriented mindset to ensure the growth and success of the exhibit division.
