Make your mark in Claims Stewardship

Our Claims professionals support AIG policyholders through some of the most trying times. When our clients face losses large and small, we step up to help them ease the financial burdens of catastrophic events like fires and hurricanes; we help them get their businesses back up and running again or recoup the value of a lost family heirloom or a prized possession. Our Claims team is an industry leader, drawing daily on its unparalleled levels of expertise to offer our clients the highest levels of stewardship to drive total cost of claim improvement and consistent outcomes. AIG manages claims using a wealth of technical and market knowledge about risks, business practices, and the ever-evolving legal and regulatory environment.

How you will create an impact

+ Manage a claims team handling fidelity and crime claims

+ Train and develop claims adjusters in all areas of claims handling, including investigation, coverage, litigation management, evaluation, reserving and negotiation.

+ Assure compliance with Best Practices and departmental policies and procedures.

+ Keep abreast of litigation trends and regulatory updates effecting fidelity matters.

+ Make presentations to senior management on high severity or complex matters and trends.

+ Analyze claims trends and statistics to assist the business in proactively managing risks and exposures.

+ Work closely with Underwriting counterparts in risk analysis and account meetings.

What you'll need to succeed

+ 10+ years fidelity insurance claims experience.

+ Management experience preferred.

+ Strong organization and time management skills with an ability to prioritize and meet all deadlines.

+ Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.

+ Ability to lead a claims team in a fast-paced environment.

+ Ability to be able to efficiently and effectively manage team assigned caseloads.

+ A successful candidate will be a team player who can proactively identify trends and risks to assist management and underwriting in evaluating accounts and developing policy language.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office

+ Individual must have good written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical abilities and effective interpersonal and organizational skills.

For positions based in New York City, the base salary range is $184,000 - $202,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
