Overview:

THE ROLE:

The Sr. Manager, Search & SEO will apply industry knowledge and strong passion for search to help build relevant, scalable, and outstanding shopping experiences. This role will be responsible for planning, implementing, and leading the global onsite search and SEO strategy. The Sr. Manager, Search & SEO will be an analytical and perceptive professional, adept at crunching numbers and applying critical thinking to derive creative solutions that deliver a comprehensive onsite search and SEO strategy; collaborate with a team of dedicated product managers, data scientists, and content partners to help our global community of Distributors achieve their goals; and have the opportunity to lead innovative projects as well as incremental improvements that drive customer value and chip in to our growth.

HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:

Develop, document and implement unified Search & SEO strategies and standard methodologies across digital ecosystem that drive long-term, balanced development of brand reputation, search ranking, traffic and conversions.
Build and prioritize Search & SEO roadmap based on business impact, level of effort and risk to help acquire new traffic and engage / convert existing traffic.
Work closely with product managers, content creators, marketing team and other internal collaborators to clearly define overarching and project-based Search & SEO objectives, optimization strategies/tactics, technical requirements, and content gaps.
Implement (or work with developers and content managers to implement) Search & SEO strategies and tactics, conduct acceptance testing and report on progress across projects and growth goals.
Manage SEO agency including scope, work you're doing, and regular global reporting to global and regional teams.
Establish critical metric benchmarks and goals and regularly supervise and report on actionable insights, opportunities, deficiencies, and solutions.
Build training and playbooks for field, marketing, agency partners and content creators that support opportunities for ranking improvements, traffic growth and conversion.
Identify and capitalize on major events and tentpole topics to improve organic traffic and conversions.
Remain current on industry trends, technologies, and ongoing changes to search engine algorithms to evolve search recommendations based on landscape and convey potential business impacts.
Perform market research, keyword research, technical site assessment, content gap analysis, ongoing digital ecosystem analysis and competitive analysis to develop and implement informed Search & SEO strategies based on current business and operational priorities.
Apply digital traffic resources for data analysis to identify key pages, search queries and content generating top traffic volume, leads, key business conversions and eCommerce purchases.
Regularly supervise digital metrics using data to continually refine strategy and identify/implement testing opportunities.
Distill performance measurements and data visualizations into clear, concise reports and recommendations for team member and executive level presentation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage a team of 5 - 10 team members.

Qualifications:

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

Skilled communicator across all levels of the organization, able to effectively distill and relay highly technical and analytical information to team members.
Knowledge of ranking factors, search engine algorithms and structural updates and their impact(s).
Experience implementing keyword research, listing and page optimization and technical site audits.
Proven success in SEO, copywriting, content strategy development and link building.
Highly data-driven with demonstrable success driving and growing digital performance.
Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Data Studio and other third-party analytics and optimization tools.
Ability to think strategically and operate with autonomy.
Excellent relationship-builder, able to make meaningful connections with many different personality types and roles and leads with diplomacy.
Agility in multi-tasking, project management and prioritization skills.
Demonstrated communication and presentation skills, both oral and written, concise and effective written communications.
Collaborative, results-driven problem-solver.
Strong professionalism; works with integrity and accountability.

Experience:

7+ years enterprise SEO experience.
5 years in a leadership role managing direct reports.
Demonstrable ability to work with a multi-functional globally based organization.
Screaming Frog, MOZ, SEMrush, BrightEdge, Ahrefs, Conductor, among others.
Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Universal Analytics.
HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Education:

Bachelors degree in Business / Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Advanced degree in business or Digital/Marketing certification.
Experience working with enterprise search platforms (i.e., Coveo, Algolia, Yext).
SEO for ecommerce.
Project Management Experience.
