MSD is looking for a Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our team!

The Sheet Metal Fabricator creates ductwork of all shapes and sizes using a variety of tools. The Fabricator understands the use of both power-driven and hand tools necessary to design, shape, and fit multiple types of ductwork. The Sheet Metal Fabricator supports the total quality effort by identifying and responding to the needs of internal and external customers 100% of the time.

Key Job Duties:

• Operate powered equipment to cut and form sheet metal
• Use hand tools as necessary during sheet metal fabrication techniques
• Load and unload equipment, materials, and supplies
• Interacts with team members as needed to perform fabrication duties
• Trains assigned personnel on equipment, roles, and responsibilities
• Attains proficiency on all equipment used by the organization to create required products
• Loads/unloads pallets, skids, boxes, vehicles, etc., as necessary and assigned
• Follows recommended procedures during sheet metal formation processes
• Performs special/complication fabrications with or without assistance
• Maintains proficiency on all fabrication equipment and tools.
• Completes all assigned tasks with minimum of errors
• Make every reasonable effort to ensure safe practices and get every employee home safely

Candidate Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
• 3+ years of experience working in a Sheet Metal Shop
• Ability to comprehend complex written instruction and/or technical manuals.
• Able to use all required safety equipment, including gloves, goggles, and hearing protection
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required
