Job Summary:

The University of Massachusetts President's Office Information Technology and Services (UITS) located in Westborough, MA is offering a summer Project Administrator Internship for current UMass students for up to 40 hours per week at $17.00 an hour. Project Administrator Interns work closely with UITS Project Managers to facilitate the mechanics of the project lifecycle and assist with ensuring project documentation is up-to-date. Those selected for this internship will gain valuable knowledge of the inner workings of the University of Massachusetts.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with the scheduling of routine meetings and record action items.
  • Assist with project communications.
  • Works collaboratively with Project Team members at all levels to complete project documentation & artifacts.
  • Assist with project performance reporting.
  • Assist with distribution of documentation and resources to the project team.
  • Provide support with the identification of opportunities for improvement of projects.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience):

  • Current UMass student who is enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program of study.
  • GPA 3.0 or higher.
  • Be curious, creative, eager to learn, motivated, and willing to take initiative on assigned projects/tasks.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Reliable and detailed-oriented with a strong ability to multi-task, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be well organized, detailed oriented, and possess good follow-up skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when interacting with staff.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
