Scion Medical Staffing is searching for a
Nonprofit Youth Clinician on behalf of our client, a provider of behavioral health, family support, and educational services in
San Mateo, CA! This is a wonderful direct hire position offering a
full-time, hybrid, opportunity to join a mission-driven team!
SUMMARY This is the perfect opportunity for a clinical professional in the mental health or social services space to make an impact serving some of the highest risk children/youth in the community. The Youth Clinician will work with to help youth achieve independence, stability, and all-around wellness and safety within the context of their culture and community using a personalized and natural support structure. Some of the areas of support the clinician will provide are family and youth assessment, short-term, intensive family therapy, case overviews, community outreach and marketing, as well as proper case documentation.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Flexible hybrid schedule!
- Competitive pay of $85,000 to $105,000/annual, depending on experience + bonus incentive!
- $5,000 retention bonus after a year of service!

- 16 days of PTO in the first year and more thereafter, 9 paid holidays + 5 health and wellness days off annually!
- 10% additional pay for community-relevant second language fluency

RESPONSIBILITIES - In this role, you'll be a superhero for youth and families!
- Become a trusted guide: Conduct assessments, develop personalized plans, and deliver powerful therapeutic interventions (individual, group, family)
- Empower families and communities: Collaborate with families, youth, and community partners to address needs and secure resources
- Ignite positive change: Provide psychoeducation and case management services, helping families navigate challenges and build a brighter future
- Be part of the solution: Shape program development and contribute to a team dedicated to making a lasting impact
QUALIFICATIONS - Master's degree in a relevant field (Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, etc.)
- Clinician I license eligibility (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children, youth, and families facing complex challenges
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and navigate diverse cultural contexts
