Position Title: IT Help Desk Technician Temp

Position Reports to: Director of Information Technology

Location: Colorado Springs, CO this is not a remote position

Pay Rate: $25 - $31.25 Hourly

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years’ related experience required.
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certificate or associate’s degree in information technology or similar field.

Role: Leverages virtual IT toolkit to respond to IT needs/tickets for assistance and troubleshooting of technology issues; installs, uninstalls, performs maintenance on hardware, software, network connectivity; documents all IT incidents, resolutions and user feedback to maintain and support the IT department.

Essential Functions:

• First Responder : When users encounter technical issues (e.g. malfunctioning printers, cryptic error codes, or mysteriously vanishing files), the IT Help Desk Technician comes to the rescue. They’re the friendly voice at the workspace or on the phone.
• Troubleshooting Guru : Armed with a virtual toolkit, these technicians diagnose problems. They ask clarifying questions, analyze symptoms, and perform checks and troubleshooting to revive or repair computers or software settings.
• SharePoint Sherpa : Creation and maintenance of SharePoint sites and related management of SharePoint access.
• Software Scholar : Primarily working within our Microsoft M365 tenant or with company deployed finance and accounting software, the IT Help Desk Technician guides users through installations, updates, and compatibility woes.
• Hardware Medic : When a laptop screen flickers, a mouse goes rogue, or a printer spits out gibberish, the IT Help Desk Technician swoops in. They might even wield a tiny screwdriver to replace faulty components.
• Network Navigator : Troubleshooting network connectivity issues is their jam. They decipher IP addresses, ping servers, and untangle Ethernet cables (without getting caught in them).
• Documentation Docent : They maintain records—logging incidents, resolutions, and user feedback. Their notes are like digital breadcrumbs for future tech explorers.
• Apex Asset Tracking Predator : Helps maintain the assignment of and tracking of company Tech.
• Reforms other duties and special projects as assigned

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Work Environment: Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, but with unpredictable walking, carrying, stooping, lifting of IT equipment (laptop, monitors, printers, cables.)
