Job Description
Position Summary:
Your goal as the Patient Coordinator is to efficiently provide our patients with a warm, compassionate and low-stress environment in which to receive their surgical care by constantly striving to meet any needs they may have and ensuring they receive the best care possible. This is a full time, non-exempt position.
Primary responsibilities will include:
All scheduling for new and existing patients, including collecting necessary patient and insurance information prior to their scheduled appointments.
Greet and check-in all patients.
Enter all patient information into the computer.
Scan all patient information/records into their accounts.
Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate staff members if not scheduling related.
Monitor the schedule for efficiency on a daily/weekly basis and make necessary adjustments if needed.
Communication with referring doctors’ offices regarding mutual patients.
Confirmation calls to patients informing them of check in/surgery time and pre-op instructions.
Be a team player at all times, ready and willing to help in any capacity needed.

Ability to multi task at a high level.
Strong verbal communicator – must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in a pleasing voice, using correct grammar and pronunciation.
Effective relationship manager – must be able to adjust behavior and style to facilitate optimum results in dealing with a variety of personalities, including those of fearful patients and those in pain, referring doctor offices and co-workers.
Extroverted, friendly personality – should take pleasure in meeting and interacting with individuals and groups.
Great organization and time-management skills – must be able to structure tasks and administrative duties efficiently and independently.
Neat, professional and poised image which reflects that of the office.
Dependability – must be relied upon to execute duties in a consistent manner.
Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
This position will be approximately 35-40 hours a week in-person.
