Job Description

SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) supporting Special Programs in our Syracuse, NY office. As CPSO, you will provide direct support to the Manager of Special Programs and assist in the management and administration of security programs and procedures in accordance with the facility's NISPOM, ICD, and DoD security directives.

**Responsibilities**

* Perform program security administrative tasks and duties i.e. filing, updating logs/lists, supplies, coordination with internal and external customers

* Perform initial access eligibility determinations and create PARs and SCI nominations

* Maintain personnel security records for SAP/SAR/SCI related programs to include the use of SIMS, JPAS, and Scattered Castles

* Conduct security briefings, refreshers, debriefings to personnel, and recurring security education and training materials/events

* Process and track foreign travel requests for SCI/SAP programs.

* Process incoming and outgoing classified visit certifications

* Conduct internal self-inspections and assist with Staff Assistance Visits and Customer Security Assessments

* Maintain classified material accountability records to include inventory lists, receipt and transmittal records and final disposition documentation

* Ensure all classified materials are marked and controlled in accordance with contractual requirements

* Investigate and document security violations/incidents, providing recommendations for corrective actions to program personnel/management

* Implement the program's Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and ensure compliance

* Provide security escorting for uncleared personnel as required.

* Maintain the programs IDS/access control system to include access rosters

* Assist in the maintenance of program Fixed Facility Checklists to establish/update classified work areas, including maintaining necessary waiver/approval records

* Prepare requests for Co-Use/Joint-Use Agreements and any required Waiver documentation

* Provide necessary support to Information Assurance team in the implementation and maintenance of classified information systems accredited under the Risk Management Framework (RMF)

**Position Requirements**

* Bachelor's degree in related discipline and six or more (6+) years experience, additional relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

* Have a thorough understanding of industrial security regulations and procedures, including experience in administering provisions of the NISPOM, DOD 5105.21 Sensitive Compartmented Information(SCI) Manuals, DOD 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) 705

* Successful completion of the DSS SAP Mid-Level Management Course is preferred or must be able to successfully complete this course within 6 months of employment

* Experience with security databases such as JPAS, Scattered Castles, eQIP, SIMS, etc.

* Self-starter with ability to work independently and have strong customer service skills

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Must be well organized and be able to work in a fast pasted, constantly changing, high stress working environment

* Candidates must also be proactive and able to perform in dynamic environment and able work independently
