When you join Cleveland Clinic, you'll be part of a supportive caregiver family that will be united in shared values and purpose to fulfill our promise of being the best place to receive care and the best place to work in healthcare.Responsibilities:Provides routine and as needed clinical engineering services (repair, maintenance, relocation, installation, etc.) for equipment as assigned.Maintains documentation of equipment, inventory, service and repairs.Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment as assigned.Other duties as assigned.Education: High School Diploma / GED or equivalent required.Associate's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering Technology preferred.Associate's Degree in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering or IT (Information Technology) technical field can substitute for the required experience. Certifications:Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE) or Biomedical Engineering Technologist (BMET) plexity of Work:Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Work Experience:Two years of relevant experience troubleshooting and maintaining medical equipment or equipment in a mechanical or electrical technician field required.Equivalent specialized or military training can substitute for the degree.Physical Requirements: Ability to climb 8-foot ladders and work on overhead equipment.Ability to work in prone positions and in confined, darkened areas.Sufficient manual dexterity to use hand and power tools and work on small mechanical parts.Visual acuity sufficient to distinguish between colors used for wire color coding and read finely printed blueprints and schematics.Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periodsAbility to operate a computer and other office equipmentAbility to communicate and exchange accurate informationAbility to travel throughout the hospital system"Ability to move up to 50 poundsPersonal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $20.77Maximum hourly: $31.68The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. While the pay range is displayed as an hourly rate, Cleveland Clinic recruiters will clarify whether the compensation is hourly or salary. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set, and education. This is not inclusive of the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package, which includes among other benefits, healthcare/dental/vision and retirement.
