The Position & Qualifications BORROR is seeking a full-time seasonal Assistant Property Manager to be part of our Urban Living Team! The Assistant Property Manager's main responsibility is to support the property manager in overseeing all operations of the assigned property. An Assistant Property Manager builds sound relationships with tenants, and property personnel, to ensure a positive living and working environment is cultivated. An Assistant Property Manager will temporarily oversee the property when the property manager is out of the office Primary Responsibilities: - Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments - Assists with leasing units, as needed - Provides follow-though and assistance to property manager and support staff in coordinating the on-going maintenance of the property - Supervises property staff in the absence of the property manager - Assists the property manager as needed by demonstrating good communication skills and by understanding company and divisional goals, policies and procedures - By example, encourages employee development and teamwork through effective personnel management and by communicating clear standards - May coordinate the completion of resident renovations and maintenance work orders - Maintains positive customer relations with current and prospective residents - Enforces response procedures regarding resident concerns such as; work order requests, noise complaints, etc. - Communicates frequently with property manager and leadership staff on vital needs of the community - Enforces lease and other government rules and regulations, including Fair Housing laws, building safety, health codes, and local ordinances - Resolves day-to-day resident problems and concerns including maintenance, parking, rent or other charges, safety and security Required Skill Sets - Proven knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and standards - Effectively utilizes and understands the Company's property management software (Yardi) - Thorough understanding of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel - Inter-personally savvy with strong communication and presentation skills. Communicates effectively, verbally and in writing - Handles crisis appropriately and understands how to effectively prioritize - Enjoys celebrating successes!
